I was dubious when the Mets signed Pedro two years ago: I reckoned that his was fragile at best, and finished more likely. I was wrong. He has been a stud, even though the run support he has received since coming to Shea has been dismal. He also brought elan to a team that was searching for an identity, and I think that was important too. I'm sorry that his season is over-- it would have been sweet to have seen him in blue and orange this October.
