IN the context of discussing this year's candidates Tony DeMarco notes that next year Cal Ripken, Tony Gwynn and Mark McGwire will appear on the Hall of Fame ballot for the first time. My fingers are crossed for Goose Gossage, Bert Blyleven, and Bruce Sutter this year-- and I'd vote for Rick Agulara, too.
