Ricky Henderson was probably the greatest ballplayer I ever saw-- maybe that I'll ever see. Just because he wasn't much in a Mets uniform doesn't mean that I think any the less of him. Wouldn't you love to know who the 28 voters were who didn't have Rickey on their ballots? Who do you suppose they would vote for? Jesus Christ was good, but had trouble going to his left. Abe Lincoln's career was too short.

I guess I'm glad that Jim Rice suddenly got better over the last year. I'd like to have seen Tim Raines get it, but he will. So will David Cone.
